BULGARIAN CUISINE
Its’ widely recognised that the bulgarian cuisine have been influenced by the turkey, greek and arabic cuisines and have, throughout years, been a representation of balkan cuisines.
the bulgarian cuisine generally has many vegetables and fruits. The salads are seen as the best side dish.
The vast variety of vegetables and fruits is due to the geographical location and weather, they can harvest wheat, carrot, tomato, barley, fruit, sunflowers, etc.
The majority of the bulgarian dishes are made with cold and hot soups, these combined soups make a exotic dish that the foreigners love it.
Furthermore, we have banitsa or pita, probably the most known dish of bulgaria. It’s made with eggs, cheese and filo dough which make it extremely delicious.
Besides, we can find other dishes a little less known but equally delicious such as tarator, meshana skara, sarmi, shopska salata or shopska salad and kiselo mlyako which are made with a combination of tastes a lot particular as yogurt and vegetables, soup and yogurt, meat and lettuce boiled, etc.
It seems to be that Bulgaria has a wonderful gastronomic diversity and their wines and alcoholic drinks don’t fall behind with their harvesting of mentha, fruits and mastic trees; they can produce liqueurs as menta, mastika and rakia. The rakia is commonly known as the national bulgaria drink and it is even used for dishes where the meat is the protagonist.
The bulgarian cuisine can be recognised not just for their particular combinations, freshness, taste and big quantities but it’s meaning in the country, the trace of many cultures, mentioned at the beginning, throughout history shown in a unique and delicious way.
RELIGION BELIEFS
The last census indicates that the majority of the bulgarians are believers but not all of them have the same beliefs. It is generally perceived that the bulgarians have a religious pluralism between christianity and islam. Apparently, more islam than christianity.
From one side, the islam have a belief of a unique God call Allah, not trinity, not incarnation in a human, they believe in the quran instead bible and in this book they find the revelations and doctrines which are given by God to Mahoma. They tend to believe in the divine predestination or how they call it, the Al-qadar.
On the other hand, we can find the christianity which is seemingly the opposite to islam, they believe in the trinity, God, son and holy spirit ; they believe in the incarnation of the God’s son in a human who came to world to save us. They believe in the bible instead coran and for them, this book also is the most important because it has the commandments and the history of God, son and holy spirit like one person.
Arguably, although the country is divided into two religions and while some people believe in angels and the existence of a unique God others believe in the trinity, all of them live with others without problems.
HOW DO BULGARIANS LOOK LIKE?
We can see some differences between the pictures, the drawing shows the bulgarian people with a arabic style. We can see it with hairy eyebrows, marked cheeks, olive-skinned, thick hair, etc. Currently, it seems to be that the bulgarian people aren't too different from our drawing. Some have the same olive-skinned, marked cheeks and thick hair. It appears that there are just a few differences like the traditional costumes and the light eyes.
Richard Lewis, a British linguist and world traveler, who speaks 10 languages, categorized the world's culture based on their behaviors and characteristics of their daily life and made three categories to avoid the dangers of stereotypes. These categories are: Linear active: people who have a plan or schedule, they organize step by step their entire day and, do action chains, do one thing at the time. We can find Germans and Swiss in this group. Multi-active: those are loquacious people who do many things at once, planning according to the relative thrill that each appointment brings with it. The silence is uncomfortable to them and they tend to interrupt frequent conversations. Italians, Latin Americans and Arabs are in this group. Reactives: to them the respect and courtesy is priority, they listen quietly, wait for a decent period of time to talk after the speaker to show respect and tolerate the silence very well. Chinese, Japanese and Finns are mem...
Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory was developed by Geert Hofstede, is a framework for cross cultural communication, it shows the effects of a society's culture on the values on it's members. It is used to distinguish between the different cultural countries around the world, assess their impact on business settings and determine the dimensions in which the cultures vary. The Hofstede model identified six categories with which have been defined Bulgarian culture and to have a better understanding about it, we gonna make a comparison between Colombian Bulgarian culture. POWER DISTANCE This dimension indicates to us what is the position and tolerance of a country's culture with respect to authority, centralization and inequality. As we can see, the power distance index in Bulgaria is slightly high, with a score of 70, which indicates that in Bulgaria the people tend to accept the centralization, the differences of power and inequality, it is ...
